The Anbu Leader (Just read please, no posting)
Deiruga stood amidst the endless bingo books and paperwork left over for an Anbu to deal with, so much killing left to be done. His eyes had been rested greatly as of recent times and he had nearly no deterioration in his eyes due to not using it unless he truly had to. Deiruga was patiently waiting for another assignment, another person to hunt down and kill, this would be fun. He stared down at the endless paperwork and with a slight grunt sat down, removing a pencil from his right hand pocket. Deiruga started pulling out the papers and working on sending objective result letters. He hadn't had to do any paperwork for a while, maybe that was why he had so much now, he didn't know.
Deiruga began to get stressed and as he began writing a full stop, he snapped the pencil in half. With a frown and a long angry grunt, he reached across his table and grabbed a new one. Deiruga continued to write out on sheets as quickly as he could, barely looking at them as he filled them out. The list slowly but surely lessened as he continued writing, it went onto three hours since he started and there was a stack of over five hundred papers signed beside him. Five hundred people he had killed in the past year, such a tiresome job, Anbu Leader is. His face reflected the annoyance as the frown grew larger and larger and then it was down to the last paper.
Deiruga gripped the paper suddenly and began writing on it immediately, his hand blurring as he filled out three sections fully and afterward; he threw the paper aside onto the stack. Deiruga leant back on his chair and bumped his head into the wall behind, his frown shrunk slowly into a small smile as he was now ready to take on another mission. He stood up from the desk and gripped the dark greenish brown trench coat he held dear to him off a nearby clothing hook. Deiruga strapped the trench coat on with one swoop around his body, seamlessly fitting himself into it with that one movement. He then began walking toward the exit immediately, going to make his way around Konoha and have some fun.
With a single step out of the door, Konoha's light and cool breeze struck Deiruga. The grass and surrounding buildings reflected such beauty in life, there was a true benefit to be seen to his own efforts. Deiruga's killing led on to keeping Villages safer and preventing any threat of making their way to becoming strong. He turned to the right with his head, looking over the families of overjoyed people in the Village, getting their kids ready to become great shinobi. He smiled and lowered his head, taking a moment to let the bright sides seep in. He then turned to the left and began walking away from the Anbu HQ, straight down the road towards the ramen bar.
As Deiruga made his way down the road, he thought about the opponents he recently defeated. Their faces haunted him more then the fact he had only ever killed during his life, which was all he was good for right now. Killing protected everyone, and he saw it as that, killing was protecting the things you love in life. If you could not kill someone, in this modern day and age, you were useless to the world. You were even more pointless then a dog with no legs, a dog with no legs was a sad sight to anyone, unable to do what nature intended for it. For Deiruga, his intended purpose was to kill anyone that threatened the village, no matter who or what they were to him, a threat was a threat and must die.
Deiruga suddenly came back to reality with a sweep of dust in his eyes, he cringed and whipped it away with his fingers. Looking around to make sure nobody was sneaking up on him, he slowly released his right hand from a kunai, a quick and easy movement he was used to. Deiruga turned to the left and had almost passed the ramen bar while keeping with his thoughts. He turned in toward the doorway and walked with a sluggish appearance and speed, tired from the day he had experienced. Once coming to the desk there was nobody waiting, so Deiruga sat down and ordered a bowl of ramen, awaiting it patiently as he once again entered his thoughts.
Deiruga awaiting the ramen kept thinking something was wrong with Konoha today, but he was just in the wrong mindset, everything was happy as usual. He spun around on the chair once and looked at the surrounding shinobi and customers, all eating with pleasure in their eyes. Deiruga wished he could feel pleasure without a side of guilt coming over; he had attacked places like this to get to his targets before. Slowly the chair stopped spinning and came to a screeching halt as he bumped into the desk again. Deiruga looked up at the chef who was patiently holding his newly cooked rmen and a bottle of sake. Deiruga smiled and took the items cheerfully, in appearance anyway, he began eating immediately with the fork provided in the ramen.
Deiruga's fingers burnt slightly as he gripped the chrome handle on his fork, eating rapidly which would surely cause him indigestion later when he went back to HQ. He sipped the sake in between mouthfuls, but only small amounts, not even a full sip. Deiruga didn't want to make himself get drunk, so he kept most of the sake remaining in the bottle for the other Anbu in the HQ. His ramen bowl was almost empty now and the sake was at halfway, he popped the lid back onto the sake and took his last remaining mouthful of ramen. Deiruga stood up from the chair and bowed to the chef, leaving a tip of 100 yen with the food, beside the original amount of ten yen for the food and drink. Deiruga got a special on food he bought from this place, he once saved the owner from a knife wielding missing ninja.
Deiruga began walking out from the bar and gave a thumbs up to the owner on his way out, a smile encroaching back onto his face. After two steps out the door, dust blew back into Deiruga's face but he remembered to close his eyes this time, and protected himself from the side effects. Deiruga opened his eyes again and looked around, once again releasing his grip from the kunai on his right thigh. Deiruga smiled at the passing people and slowly made his way back to HQ, surely there would be another bingo book slipped under his door by now, something, anything to do. Deiruga's position, still slouched and careless about the way he looked, he passed several stores, houses and shinobi before arriving back in HQ territory.
He opened the door carefully and stepped in, silence surprising him on his entrance. Maybe all the other Anbu were called out for a while, anyway, it didn't matter. Deiruga made his way toward the small room he inhabited and while doing so, created boot thuds on the wooden paling floor all the way. Turning to the side with each room he passed, there were a few Anbu sleeping at the moment and he didn't want to wake them, so he thought he might sleep also. Upon arrival to his room, that is exactly what he did. Deiruga gripped the door handle, turned it and pushed forward opening his door. He stepped into his small room at the end of a long hall and closed the door behind him. Deiruga fell forwards onto a matress he had allocated on the floor, nothing fancy for himself. In a few hours after falling, without a thought on his mind, Deiruga fell asleep and his eyes were given rest.
